Contact: hello@[DOMAIN] Registered address: [REGISTERED ADDRESS] [Company number: [COMPANY NUMBER]]
If you have any question about how we handle your information, email us at the address above and we will respond within 30 days.
What information we collect
When you make an enquiry, we ask for:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your telephone number
- Your postcode or address
- The type of work you are enquiring about
- Any details you choose to tell us about the job
We only collect what we need in order to pass your enquiry to the right specialist. We do not ask for financial information, and we never ask for payment details.
If you contact us by email or telephone, we keep a record of that correspondence.
How we use your information, and our lawful basis
To pass your enquiry to a specialist company. When you submit an enquiry and tick the consent box, we share your details with the specialist company in our network that covers your trade and your area, so that they can contact you and arrange a free, no-obligation quote. Our lawful basis for this is your consent.
To respond to you directly. If you contact us with a question, we use your details to reply. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch.
To understand demand across our network. We look at enquiry patterns — how many enquiries we receive for a particular trade or area — in order to decide which trades and areas to cover next. This is done using anonymised, aggregated figures only. It does not involve your name, contact details, address or any other information that could identify you.
We do not sell your information. We do not pass your details to multiple companies to bid for your work. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who we share your information with
Your enquiry is shared with one specialist company — the one in our network that covers your trade and your area. They contact you directly to arrange your quote.
That company becomes a data controller for your information once they receive it, and their own privacy policy will apply to how they handle it from that point. If you would like to know which company will receive your enquiry before you submit it, email us at hello@[DOMAIN] and we will tell you.
If we do not currently cover your area, we will tell you and we will not share your details with anyone.
We also use service providers who process information on our behalf, including our website hosting provider and our email provider. These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
Some of these providers may store or process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by UK data protection law.
We may disclose information if we are required to do so by law.
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry records for [RETENTION PERIOD] from the date of your enquiry, after which they are deleted.
If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will do so, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Request deletion of your information
- Restrict how we use your information
- Object to our use of your information
- Data portability — receive your information in a portable format
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@[DOMAIN]. We will respond within one month. Exercising these rights is free.
Please note that once your enquiry has been passed to a specialist company, you may also need to contact that company directly regarding the information they hold.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first at hello@[DOMAIN] so we can try to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
